I saw new moon at midnight last night. which was 16 hours ago so i figure that is a fair amount of time to let people see and not worry bout spoilers.

I thought i should start that this movie was a million times better then twilight. possibly more.
kinda wish chris got to do twilight and wish he was doing eclipse. i would be in love with eclipse if he did. instead we have a slasher flick man who hates twilight about to ruin the best book in the series.

honestly most of the series i got over. hated new moon when i read it, loved twilight when i first read it did not like it when i read it again and hated the movie. i tried to talk myself into liking it... and it does have ok 'things' in it but nothing to save it and put it in a reasonable movie category. hate how popular it got actually, when it was really and terribly acted and made movie. i sound like a hater because i saw new moon and saw how it was meant to be done.

you shoudl compare everything. especially the characters.

TWILIGHT
Bella is boring and monotone and annoying.
her friends as in eric/mike angela and jessica where just a little too annoying and over the top. eric and jessica drove me insane.

CULLENS
edward looked eith wooden, disgusted or in pain most of the time and looked like he was over acting compared to bella.

alice was not like alice and the cut her part down to pretty much nothing
emmett was like emmett either. its hard tom explain but though there were moments he was like emmett (like waving with the knife) he was generally not acting like emmett.
jasper pretty much all his lines and walked around with a sort of sour/pain face on.
carlisle was perfect but is always perfect and esme was very good too.
rosalie, she wasnt right. she just seemed like a snob and angry snob. not think the resentment came across very well.

jacob, well he was adorable.

charlie, he is wat made the movie for me. he is the most awesome character in that film. oh and if it was c hoice between carlisle and charlie charlie wins hands down.

besides the characters not being right, and some b grade acting there were some serious flaws in the film.
it felt like a budget film, the camera work had some shoty terrible movements, didnt seem thought out or set out as well as it could have been. the effects were stupid. (honestly if a vampire is walking they are not logically movie fast and if they are then the ground is NOT moving below them.) unrealistic, badly done and done follow basic laws of physics

This movie need more cullen time, less tradgic love story (she doesnt smile once when she is with him) and annoying protaginist and mortal friends... dads allowed

i actually liked her friends. they werent over the top, or annoying and genuinely interesting and funny.
Jessica seemed like jessica was meant to seem and did the 'ill be your friend doesnt meant i can resent you too'mike newton was seriously mike newton. perfectly played and acted! he did everything like i always thought he would. haha and him and jacob with the hands in the cinema, hilarious.actaully the whole thing was alot funnier, and not just cause charlie is in it.


i love quil and embry and they fit pretty perfectly to how i saw them. most of the wolf pack was great. wasnt a fan of sam but when he came in and kissed emily, oh that was gorgeous! i
paul is great and nice to look at ( i said it so what) and jared is adorable too. and jacob. well my sister said that taylor didnt have the emotion he need, and neither did the movie but i cant remember gettin emotional in this book. the wolf face at the end, when he looks so defeated and sad was so well done and sad that you wanted to hug him. i thought taylor was very sweet and charismatic too. acted like jacob very very very well. i hated squealing girls when he took his shirt of but when he was clearly in lvoe with bella it was sweet. the 'if i could run away i would run away with you was so sweet.'

love the giant wolves too. they were fantastic and perfect. and the emotion they have is just impressive but after seeing golden compass and yurik knew chris would do it fine couldnt have really wolves. couldnt get the shots or expressions or movements. and when paul and jacob fight, i got overly excited. that was so well done... haha kind reminded me or yurik fight though no jaws were smashed off in the making of this motion picture.

I love the way Chris thought of ways around budget effects for vampire movements. none of it looked forced. i love how laurent just kept getting closer to bella with out seeing him move (reminded me of the weeping angels in dr who blink. not a good comparision i spose)
I love how he though of using comparisons in the enviroment. like when victoria and the wolves are running normaling the crow is flying in slow motion. and the fight of felix and edward was so well done in comparison to james/edward. the slow motion mixed with the sudden speedup movements was like a mix of 300 (awesome) and dragonball (you know how they shift in and shift out.) the only problem i had with effects were the wolf pack on the cliff before cliff diving... it seemed out of place and unnatural looking. but the cliff dive it self, especially when sam jumpand the camera follows him was fantastic.

ill get to the volturi in a bit, they are the finale... its all in the title.
victoria. im going to miss rachelle. summit are asses!!! the hair colour was just right and the bit with the fire on the water, though changed was so much better. her there, coming togards the screen was terrifying. i loved that whole set of scenes. you know harry and charlie hunting victioria, victoria grabbing harry and jacob saving him then the chase. bella jumping in the water, victoria jumping in the water... jacob stopping and then looking concerned (he is so adoarble as a wolf) that whole thing was amazing.

it is not the best movie in the world but honestly that is because it is not the best story in the world. there is a fair wake of mopey and annoying bella (yeah she still does that but she is meant to in this one)and alot of sort of nothing area inbetween the and building up to the big fight/chase/action scenes. there is alot of funny stuff going on there, so i spose that makes up for.

bella does get tolerable when she is happy and jacob is her son but she is so needy and annoying for a majority of it. everyone else steps up their game though, i think. except charlie coz he was perfect the first time.

I love alice and emmett especially!
they are absolutely perfect. alot of the actors got it right this time.
there are a heap of alice moments and so glad that they didnt write them out. and she is just that much happier, cheerful, quirky,and bubbly then when she was in twilight. i love how she just jumps over the hand rail in the start. and emmett. haha with the car radio and the choice at the end did them exactly as i imagined in the book. he is just excited and smiley. but manly very manly.
rosalie and jasper, well of course they dont have much in this movie. they are hardly there but she she says no at the end she does it just right. and jasper at the start when he is like bella, happy.... never mind is so adorable. they made him do the you smell like blood and i want to kill you for pretty much the rest of it. not that the end when he votes isnt adorable. i love jackson rathbone and just dont think he gets the time on screen to make people appreciate jasper. they will in the next one! another reason why eclipse is the best. jaspers history. lots of blood and fighting and confederate soldier uniforms (really wish chris was doing it, like i said)

that leaves edward, cause we already know charlie is awesome one line and expression man.

edward was so much more charismatic in this one. rob does this thing with his mouth sone times which annoy the crap out of he. its like he taste something bad and his face sort of contorts. he does it when he is upset. but he pulls out aot more emotions in this one for the lack of time he is there. and him as a ghost was done amazingly well. exactly what i imagined when he got off the phone to jacob and looked so depressed i felt a lil for him and him walking in the volturi with wat looked like pjs was cool.

VOLTURI!

ok, dakota was good... but i just didnt feel it as much as i like. wasnt terrified as i should be. alec, well he was cute but didnt really have much of a part and kinda dwindled next to his sister.

Felix....WORSE HAIR IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE! ... This is including jacobs long mop top and jaspers new hobbit look. what were they thinking. he was very cool though. i love his fight scene. when he slams edward down and his skin cracks was great.

demetri... well i have a soft sptot for charlie after seeing him on video hits with chris
demetri, when the fit scene starts and he grabs alice is cool. then when he is walking and heidi come and he says to leave some for her and does a sort of air kiss was so creepy and awesome at the same time. i loved him for that.

VOLTURI LEADERS
in general there needed to be more volturi. i love the little extra bit with the painting coming alive got me a little too excited. i did spend alot of the time watching aro and marcus (caius just didnt have the same presence i dont know why) when marcus turns and leaves, it was just so perfect. it the way i imagine marcus to act. he did it so well.
but we will start with Caius. he was great. dont bet me wrong. he was very pretty and soft spoken but the anger just didnt come across all that well. i love jamie but chris would have been brilliant for it.

ARO! oh my gosh. just just just as i imagined him. looked great acted perfectly! insanely perfectly. i mean people can act insane and evil and people can act happy excited and bubbly but pulling both of perfectly balanced is a hard thing to do. i can see why people love Aro. Michael sheen, though i knew before, is just so impressive.

MARCUS! my main man. i sat in my seat and watched so many team jacob and team edward shirts everwhere and was wanting to see a team marcus shirt so bad. i saw girl dress up as carlisle and 2 dressed up as volturi but no team volturi shirts

i think, next yeah we need a group of people to make team marcus or aro or charlie or someone else shirts and take over the theatre. we could totally do it. take over the cinema

anyway marcus. i have a soft spot for chris heyerdahl. a very soft spot. i think he is insanely talented but is good enough to not take the spot light to do it. reminds me of gary oldman in that way which is a great thing. I can see people hating marcus in this. I thought he was impossibly amazing!
its like when people didnt like him on supernatural because he did this voice that sounded kinda like a godfather voice and they thought he was terrible... but if you watch the first time you see alistair... first body... and he does a perfect replication.
his slow monotoned 'bored' speech were perfect in my eyes and he managed to show the right charisma where bella couldnt. i love the way he says 'aro' and the way he stands up at the end and is like 'thank you for your visit' or something like that. he has so much depth in it. its like a forced reply or fake greating but a part of him seemd slightley genuine. its just so well played for the 3 lines he gets. i wished they had so much more volturi..

oh and title. MARCUS WEARS NO SOCKS.
there is a bit where rob is slammed infront of him and slightely move so he is out of the way and his pants lift and he is sockless! and i laughed and loved it.

this is a great movie based on not much of a story but so well visualised done and acted. well thats my general opinion anyway
